Our opening evening of Fuse will be spectacular! We start as we mean to go on with two stages of music and live performance that will deliver non-stop entertainment. Don’t forget that Fuse isn’t just about being an audience member!  The Fuse arena provides plenty of opportunity to take part and enjoy engaging with the arts and our community.

A mighty 8 piece Ska band from Hinckley that is guaranteed to roll up in a bus full of bass, brass ‘n booze with an arsenal of get-up/get-down skanking beats! With a heavy reggae and funk influence, the band uses a diversity of style and instruments that gets the crowd pumping everytime.

Lichfield Arts Introducing is a fantastic opportunity for budding young musicians and event organiser! The Momentum Marquee is handed over to young people to run their own mini-festival – play live, operate the sound and lights, manage the stage – with support and guidance from our experienced team.

Combining sleight of hand and comedy, resident Fuse magician Damon Conlan – Jocular Prestidigitator – will be roaming across the arena to bring memorable, mirthful and miraculous close-up magic. With a fun, engaging and approachable style, Damon is always popular at Fuse. Make sure you catch him if you can…!

The Ronaldos are an acoustic band with a difference, covering songs in their own unique style with an irreverence and energy that will make any event special and memorable. Experienced at playing any occasion their unique stage setup, personas and friendly banter immediately put their audiences at ease encouraging them to dance, sing and participate.

14 year old Cerys Curtis has been singing all her life but performing publicly since she was 10, when she was given her first ukulele. Cerys plays acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele and piano and has recently started writing her own music,  influenced by artists such as SKIES, Dodie, Fleetwood Mac and Elton John.   

All evening – Nurture Community CIC

Lichfield Arts is delighted to be working in collaboration with the Nurture Community CIC again. They will be running outreach activites leading up to Fuse, and then family activites throughout the weekend, in the Nurture space. Support from We Love Lichfield.

Magnalium

Emerging as an exciting new talent during 2019’s Lichfield Arts Introducing outreach project, Magnalium are: Lewis Parton, Matthew Marks, Holly Taylor & Callum Vincent aged 15-17. Influences include a broad range of bands and genres from the Pop and Rock bracket. The band has developed quickly since 2019 and are now looking forward to returning to Fuse on the Evolution Stage!

Last Days are a 4 piece indie rock band from Rugeley and Stafford comprising Ben Jones aged 17 on vocals and guitar, Will Collins aged 17 on guitar, Harry Phillips aged 17 on the drums and George Williams aged 18 on the bass guitar.

Circus workshops for all the family, teaching skills such as juggling, diabolo, poi, flowerstick and lots more! Watch out for their stilt walkabouts around the site – they even glow in the dark once the evening draws in! Always very popular with Fuse visitors!

Plastic Fiction is a band that has emerged from friendship and a shared love of making music. These three multi-talented 15 year old lads are making a way to put together their own unique sound, comprising a mixture of covers and their own original tracks. The band comprises Benedict Smithson on bass, Sunny Joshi on drums and backing vocals and Charlie Ward on piano, guitar and vocals.

We all love bubbles! Simon’s fun bubbles will have kids captivated and his home-made wooden games provide a real challenge! Look out for Simon in the Arena.

Behind The Mask is a duo from Lichfield comprising two 19 year olds Sammi and Lydia from Lichfield. Sammi (left), the guitarist, is currently taking a gap year and is hoping to join the Raleigh Expedition in Costa Rica in October. Lydia (right), the vocalist, is currently studying Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences at the University of Birmingham and is passionate about astrophysics.
