The Skirr

The Skirr are a lively, guitar-led indie-rock and garage-pop band from Stoke on Trent. Formed in 2012, the quartet comprises Chris Whyte (guitar, vocals), Gus Nicol (guitar, vocals), Stewart Robertson (bass, backing vocals), and Matt Green (drums).

Black Thorn

Black Thorn are a four-piece band, young and energetic with a catchy new-wave folk sound. Their music is regularly played on BBC Introducing and one of their tracks has featured on the Mark Forrest show which went out on all 39 BBC stations around the UK. Most of Black Thorn’s material is original, and their influences are diverse including Seth Lakeman, Calvin Harris, The Levellers, Fat Freddy's Drop and 3 Daft Monkeys. They use mandolin, accordion, guitars, bass, trumpet, percussion, beat-boxing and vocal harmonies to deliver a vibrant and exhilarating live sound. So come along and judge for yourself!

Superstar Academy

Superstar Academy run local classes for children aged 4-18years offering the opportunity for everyone to experience all areas of entertainment and media whilst finding their inner Superstar and letting it shine through. Whether it is through presenting, djing, script writing, sound engineering, singing, dancing, acting or song writing, we really believe in bringing out the maximum potential in all of our Superstars. We focus on team work and confidence building, both of which are greatly beneficial in all areas of life whilst encouraging everyone to be the very best that they can be.

The Soul Purpose

The Soul Purpose is a soul band consisting of local 16-18 year old musicians playing a wide variety of music, from classics such as Otis Redding and Nina Simone to the likes of U2 and Amy Winehouse.
