Lichfield Fuse Festival

The Music

Live music at Fuse is spread across our two main music marquees, Evolution and Momentum. Both will be buzzing with live music throughout the weekend from the following acts. Check out our At A Glance page for the detailed day by day schedule!

Friday 13th July

Tankus The Henge

Having played over 1,000 shows all over the world the Tankus the Henge live experience is something to behold. Combining wild showmanship and musical dexterity, their sound incorporates rock, funk, blues, ska, roots and gypsy rhythms.  With charismatic frontman Jaz Delorean looking like a lost character from a Terry Gilliam film, experience for yourself why the band is a favourite on the festival circuit.

Scott Doonican

Scott Doonican is back on his own to take The Bar Steward Sons’ extensive back-catalogue of comedy parodies and perform them stripped-back on just an acoustic geetar and banjulele. Expect a fine selection of the Doonicans’ greatest hits, including “The Lady In Greggs”, “Nandos” and “Jump Ararnd’.  As Jarvis Cocker said: “the greatest thing to come out of Barnsley since the A61 to Sheffield”!

Lord John And The Night Porters

Lord John and the Night Porters take inspiration from the pioneers of the British blues invasion, blended with the classic sounds of Southside Chicago and brought bang up to date. Some songs will be familiar, others will become favourites, all will have you on your feet…praise the Lord!

Martian Social Club

Cuddly cultsters Martian Social Club bring their eclectic blend of psychedelic prog-funk to Fuse. With a highly entertaining live show featuring songs about lampreys and various items of paraphernalia on stage you will not have seen anything quite like it.  So join in the fun of their psychedelic tomfoolery and musical extemporisation!

Maxwell Avenue

Maxwell Avenue are a young local pop/rock band with a lively stage presence and catchy choruses which fans of The Vamps, McFly, Busted and 5 Seconds of Summer will love.  They are one of just 7 acts selected from 6,000 applicants across the country to take part in the final of the national SoundWaves Music Competition!

Third Angle Projection

Local three piece Third Angle Projection deliver grungy, scuzzy tones with an energy and passion that few can match.  The band has recently recorded a new EP and completed a tour in France. This is grunge rock at its best, leaving a real vintage rock taste in your mouth.

Saturday 14th July

The Cracked

The Cracked will bring something different and exciting to Fuse – melding the hazy Balearic vibe of Ibiza to the rich Latin sounds of South America, and then dropping in African beats and harmonies to a backdrop of English pop.  The end result: infectious, irresistible fusion dance music. Think fusion without pretension, Santana without Carlos. Bring your dancing shoes!

Skaciety will blow you away with their fast, energetic ska/punk, playing songs from their new album ‘Overstaying Our Welcome’.  Live they are a force to be reckoned with – in both 2015 and 2016 the Musically Fresh blog site voted them Best Live Act and Best Band. So get your dancing shoes on and join in a live show that will have you jumping!

Cantaloop are a fabulous funk soul group from the Midlands that mix a perfect blend of funk, soul, rock, hip hop and R&B to create swaggering, jaw-dropping live shows that have ignited and unified fans throughout the UK and Europe.  A personal recommendation to us from Huey Morgan of Fun Lovin’ Criminals!

Colour Me Wednesday

Colour Me Wednesday might just be England’s best-kept musical secret. They blend a twenty-tens pop-punk sound with an English indie pop pedigree, enriching skilful song writing with a harmonic musicality reminiscent of bands like The Sundays and a trace of the plaintive inflections and subtly ironic politics of legendary groups McCarthy and The Housemartins
